In June of 2019, Derek Coffey joins the team! He specializes in children and adolescents and is a welcome addition to round out the services our team provides.
In the spring of 2019, Jeremy and Sarah sign a contract to expand their office space into the adjacent suite, effectively doubling their square footage, doubling the offices, adding a dedicated waiting room and a reception area... not to mention doubling their rent and stress.
In late February 2018, Kimberly Lucas joins the team! She specializes in Sex/Love Addiction and Betrayal Trauma. She a great fit for the team.
In February of 2018, Barb Harms joins the team as Client Care Coordinator and Office Administrator. She loves taking care of all the "monkey work" for Jeremy.
In January of 2018, Tedd Burgason joins the team!! He specializes in Pornography/Sex Addiction and Eating Disorders. He brings a wealth of experience to the team.
In November of 2017, Betsy Horn joins the team!
Jeremy and Sarah adjust to life with two children. Jeremy continues work full-time and Sarah takes a leave of absence.
In April of 2016, Jeremy and Sarah opened their own office for Smith Counseling, LLC. Jeremy works full-time and Sarah part-time, primarily caring for 1.5 year old son.
Sarah continues to work part-time for Smith Counseling. Jeremy choses to leave teaching in the spring and join a group practice full-time. It was a scary move, but they knew God would be faithful to provide.
Sarah works full time for Smith Counseling until having their son in November. Both Jeremy and Sarah take the rest of the year off to care for their newborn.
Jeremy and Sarah establish Smith Counseling, LLC and utilize space at Berean church. Both work part time while maintaining other jobs.
Jeremy and Sarah graduate. Sarah begins working at a local agency and Jeremy continues teaching. Both are so glad to be done with bookwork!
Jeremy and Sarah tire of all classes and time away from one another.
Sarah Starts grad school at UNL full-time. Jeremy continues at Doane.
Jeremy starts grad school at Doane College, Lincoln campus, part time. He continues teaching full time.
