Prior to entering the counseling field, Sarah spent several years ministering to college students in the U.S. and Japan. With over a decade of experience mentoring women spiritually, she continues to have a passion to help others address deeper issues in their lives. Sarah earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She previously worked at Child Guidance Center and Lutheran Family Services before opening a private practice in 2013.
As a counselor, Sarah is passionate about cultivating hope and healing in her clients. This is done utilizing cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques while integrating biblical truth and principals in the counseling process. Sarah currently works with women who are dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, past sexual abuse, self-esteem, pornography, spiritual growth, healthy boundaries, life transitions, relationships and vocational concerns. She also works with couples wanting to improve their communication and conflict resolution skills. Sarah especially enjoys counseling ministry staff and missionaries both locally and globally.
Sarah typically works part-time, as she primarily stays home to take care of their children. Her hobbies include frequenting coffee shops, traveling, going for walks, spending time with those she loves and serving at church in a variety of ministry areas.
